Founded in 2015, the Ball-Watson Community Engagement Foundation is based upon the conviction that when individuals from smaller communities and lower income families are given the tools to succeed, they excel.

The Problem

In Jenkins County (Millen, GA):

  • Over 50% of residents have an annual household income of $29,000 or less.

  • 36% of residents have a high school diploma

  • 31.2% of residents have less than a high school diploma

The Solution

The Foundation sees higher education as a catalyst for positive change, a force that can transform the lives of individuals and families while advancing the economic and social health of the community.
